Ávila offers a rich combination of religious, monastic and regional heritage, from the world of St Teresa and the material culture of Carmelite life to the ethnographic collections of the Museo de Ávila, historic liturgical heritage and the exceptional Asian collections of the Museum of Oriental Art.

Professional visit to the monastery and museum, with a focus on the material culture of monastic life and the heritage associated with St Teresa of Ávila.

Independent free visit to the museum’s permanent exhibition, exploring the history, material culture and ethnographic heritage of the Ávila region

SEGOVIA – Sunday, 11 October

Segovia’s history is closely linked to wool and textile production, making it an interesting context for our visit to the Museo de Segovia, complemented by the historic textile collections of the Cathedral and Episcopal Palace.

Curatorial guided tour.

12:30–14:30 – Lunch

15:00–17:00 – Segovia Cathedral and Episcopal Palace

Professional visit focusing on historic textiles, tapestries, embroidery and liturgical vestments.

17:30–20:00 – Free time in Segovia

We recommend a walk through the historic centre to the Alcázar, with time to explore the old Jewish Quarter.

La historia de Segovia está estrechamente ligada a la producción de lana y textiles, lo que ofrece un contexto interesante para nuestra visita al Museo de Segovia, complementada con las colecciones textiles históricas de la Catedral y el Palacio Episcopal.
