Travel Grants ICOM COSTUME ANNUAL CONFERENCE 2026
‘Undressing the Institution: Costume, Fashion and Textile Collections, Colonial Histories, New Museologies’

Please do check first with your ICOM National Committee for a travel grant to attend the annual conference of your international committee.
Young members please check ICOM International for travel grant applications especially dedicated to young ICOM members.
Other sources of travel funding may be offered in support of your home institution.
A limited amount of travel grants can be offered every year for Costume Committee members to attend the annual Meeting & Conference. This can only come in complement of other sources of travel funding.
The deadline for applications is June 2oth 2026 to: chair.costume@icom.museum
To be eligible for a travel grant applicants must:
- Be a member of the Costume Committee in good standing (include ICOM number with letter of application) and work in a museum.
- Provide a short biography including a research/project connected with the annual theme.
- Write an essay of at least 150 words (300 words maximum) explaining why she/he wants to attend the Annual Meeting; explain other funding sources received.
- Write a brief report on the experience of attending the meeting for the newsletter.
- Report to colleagues at home about the experience of attending the meeting with a copy to the Costume Committee Secretary.
THE COMMITTEE REIMBURSES EXPENSES ONLY ON SUBMITTED RECEIPTS AFTER THE MEETING.
Becas de viaje para la Conferencia Anual del Comité Costume del ICOM 2026

Consulte primero con su Comité Nacional del ICOM para obtener una beca de viaje para asistir a la conferencia anual de su comité internacional.
Los miembros jóvenes deben consultar con ICOM Internacional para obtener solicitudes de becas de viaje específicas para jóvenes miembros del ICOM.
Es posible que su institución de origen ofrezca otras fuentes de financiación para viajes.
Cada año se ofrece un número limitado de becas de viaje para que los miembros del Comité ICOM asistan a la Reunión y Conferencia anual. Estas becas solo pueden ser complementarias a otras fuentes de financiación para viajes.
La fecha límite para presentar solicitudes es el 20 de junio de 2026. Enviar a: chair.costume@icom.museum
Para optar a una beca de viaje, los solicitantes deben:
- Ser miembro activo del Comité de Vestuario (incluir el número de ICOM en la solicitud) y trabajar en un museo.
Proporcione una breve biografía que incluya una investigación o proyecto relacionado con el tema anual. - Escriba un ensayo de al menos 150 palabras (máximo 300) explicando por qué desea asistir a la Reunión Anual; mencione otras fuentes de financiación recibidas.
- Redacte un breve informe sobre su experiencia en la reunión para el boletín informativo.
- Comparta su experiencia con sus colegas en su país de origen y envíe una copia a la Secretaria del Comité de Vestuario.
